Valuation Surveyor (MRICS)

The Valuation Surveyor will support the delivery of Red Book compliant valuation advice for secured lending, financial reporting, transactional and strategic purposes. The role requires strong analytical capability, professional communication skills and the ability to contribute to client relationships. Our client is a UK-wide multidisciplinary real estate consultancy providing valuation, agency, lease advisory and investment services to institutional funds, lenders, developers, and property companies. The Manchester office has an established Valuation & Advisory team with sustained instructions across commercial assets, mixed-use portfolios, development sites and residential BTR.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RICS Red Book compliant valuation reports for commercial and mixed-use properties
• Undertake property inspections, site measurements and evidence collection
• Analyse rental evidence, yields, market transactions and comparable sales data
• Assist in cashflow modelling and reporting for development and investment assets
• Maintain regular communication with clients, lenders and internal stakeholders
• Support senior team members on portfolio valuations and major instructions
• Contribute to the accuracy, consistency and quality control of outputs produced by the valuation team
• Maintain awareness of market trends, legislative updates and sector intelligence

Requirements

• MRICS qualified (or within 12 months of completion) – essential
• 2–5 years’ experience within a commercial valuation or advisory environment
• Demonstrable experience preparing valuation reports for secured lending or investment purposes
• Strong written communication and analytical skills
• Proficient in Excel; exposure to Argus Developer/Enterprise advantageous
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for inspections
